Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden cult.
The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Additional Features
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Unique implements

Newest Free Story Update
This patch also brings the game's latest free story episode, titled "The Mystery."
