I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
